Well, here we are 22 days after my last post. What's going on? Well, the US has started its attack on Iraq. We're not a part of it, tho. We're cutting circles in the Sea of Japan. Don't know exactly where, tho. Well, maybe I do... I just can't write it. We had a port visit in Puson, South Korea. I finally got ashore but it was late in the afternoon. On top of that, the phones that were promised weren't around like they said. I finally found a "phone tent" for lack of better words but they wanted $50 to rent the cell phone. Sorry, but I didn't have $50 on me to rent a cell phone. Went to the PX on the military base there and they didn't have anything I needed. So I ate a quicky dinner and went back to the ship. The boat ride getting back out to the ship was very rough. I'm glad I came back as early as I did because it got rougher the later it got. Later that night, I ran into someone who just came back to the ship and they told me where to find the phones. Cool beans. Now I can call home. So the next day rolled around and as soon as we were ready to go down to get on the liberty launch, the XO of the ship decided that it was unsafe because of the rough seas. So we waited... and waited... and waited. The XO finally said that all liberty was cancelled for the day. Boo, hiss. So much for calling home. I was not a happy camper. Then we got underway the next morning. I can't say where or when our next port visit will be but I'll be sure to update this site once we get there. I may even be able to go ashore... although, I have duty the first day in.
