Greetings from the Western Pacific Ocean. Things are moving along slowly. By all rights, we should have been home a month ago. As of yesterday, we have been away from home for 7 months. Much too long to be away from family and friends.
We left Hong Kong at the beginning of this week. What a zoo that place was. I went to the other side of town by way of their subway / metro. They call it MRT. Mass Rapid Transit. The place where we got off was so crowded, there wasn't even enough room for cars to move down the street. The sidewalks overflowed into the roads on every block. No wonder SARS was able to spread so quickly here.
The Acoustic Engineers got together 2 nights ago. I tried to get a recording of how we sound but the tape deck wouldn't work. We're going to give it another go tomorrow night. That also happens to be our pizza night. The pizza isn't all that great but it's a welcome break from the usual nasty food the messdecks serves.
That's about it from out here. Maybe one day I'll be able to post a pic of the band.
