Time for another edition of "Life onboard the Carl Vinson". We're heading east at a good speed. Can't wait to get home. We got some mail in the other day. Nannette had ordered me a coffee cup from Think Geek. It has a caffeine molecule on the side. It's perfect. I love it.
Today is Sunday (A) on the Carl Vinson. Tomorrow is Sunday (B) since we will be crossing the international date line. Everybody is so happy to finally be going home. We were expecting to be deployed until November. Now I'll be home for Nannette's birthday. We're all really happy about that.
Our last foreign port visit was in Pusan, S. Korea. I wasn't impressed. The pitiful excuse they had for a base there was better than what was out in town. I did go bowling, though. Had some pizza. It was a good break from being on the ship but I would have traded that time inport so we could have started heading home that much sooner.
