Underway, shift colors... once again. This time it's for the last time... we hope. Without giving away any secrets, let's just say that we have a LONG journey ahead of us for the next 6 months. Lots of warm weather to get through and then we end up in the filthy waters off the coast of Virginia. I grew up on the east coast so I'm used to what the water looks like over there. I remember the first time I got underway on a ship and saw the pristine beauty of a truly blue ocean. It was so clear you could see the trash we dropped overboard for a long time before it disappeared. When I got over to Bremerton, the inland waters surprised me. I thought all inland waters in the US were dirty and polluted. The water in Puget Sound is so much cleaner than in the Chesapeake.
Anyway, I won't be seeing Puget Sound again for 6 months. I'm going to miss it. And it goes without saying, but I'm going to miss Nannette and the girls terribly. It's a cruise to celebrate, tho. It's my last one... ever.
So, with that being said, I'm off to my rack for the night. Hasta la taco.
