First off, I can't imagine why gasoline prices are skyrocketing the way they are right now. We aren't going to run out anytime in the near future. Don't tell me that the death of that king what's-his-face over in Saudi Arabia caused a spike in oil prices. He had been on his death bed for some time and now they want to tell us that his death will make us cough up even more of our hard earned greenery. Why can't we (the largest comsumer of their product) dictate to them what we are willing to pay for a barrel of their crude oil? Seems logical that if we quit buying from them and use our own supply that is flowing the Alaska pipeline, we can call the shots on what we will pay. Not the other way around.
Anyway, enough of me ranting about the incredibly high price of gasoline. I am even closer to getting the loft bed finished for Emily. All of the pieces have two coats of "Island Water" stain and about half got their coat of polyurethane. Here's a pic from a couple days ago of the bed that the loft bed will replace.

I hope that the new bed will help give them a little more space in their room so they can organize it a bit better than what you can see in the pic.
Until later...
