Ok, I was kindly informed that I haven't updated my blog recently. So, here you go. :-)
So, what's going on out here in Warshington? Well, I'm working on getting my WA state real estate license. I've put doing my course on hold for about a week due to the fog brain induced by the "good meds" that I got because I had to get my foot operated on. Seems 15 years ago when I got my foot worked on, the surgery shortened my first metatarsel bone a wee bit too short and it made the second metatarsel bone stick out. That, in turn, put stress on the sheath that holds the tendons in place. The sheath gave way and caused my second piggy toe to stick up in the air. That exposed the head of the second metatarsel bone to be subjected to all sorts of punishment every time I took a step. So, the surgeons shortened the second metatarsel bone to a length that is more in line with the first and third bones. The tendon sheath was repaired so I'm hoping that everything will function (and look) normal when I'm all healed up.
For anyone looking for the Numa Numa video mentioned in previous entries, you will have to email me or look for me in IM to get it from me. I was unable to post the file anywhere accessible to anyone but me.

Let's see... What else? Oh, yeah. We are currently looking to buy our first home. It seems that the military pays us just enough to fall short of being able to afford adequate housing. Oh, if we wanted to settle for a manufactured house (basically a glorified mobile home) we'd be there. Seems that once they get a few years on them, they deteriorate rapidly and are hard to get rid of. No thank you. Plus, I don't really like the layout of mobile homes manufactured homes. We looked at one that was situated on about a 7000 sq ft plot of land. The house reeked of cat urine and was severely infested with ants. They were asking $205,000 for something I would recommend being torn down. What the heck were they thinking??? So, we're still looking for something affordable and suitable.

The results from the advancement exam I took back in January came back yesterday. Seems my earlier post about severely bombing that test were a bit premature. I guess I am a very good guesser when it comes to taking advancement exams because I scored in the 97th percentile. I was in the top 3% of all MM1's taking that exam. Let's hope that has some influence on final selection. And here I thought I blew it. Who knew? So, that means I need to order my record on CD and make sure it's updated. If not, I need to submit a package to the selection board prior to the convening date in late June. This is my last chance to make chief so wish me luck!

Well, that's about it. We're trying to stay dry out here in the Pacific NorthWet. Hope everyone out there stays healthy.
Until later...
