Ok. You all are probably wondering why there's a picture of a house on my blog. Well, with any luck, I will be closing on this house on April 14th of this year. Nannette and I will be homeowners next month!!!!!!! Pretty neat, huh? We found this house and did a drive-by a couple days ago. We liked what we saw on the outside so we set up a showing with a friend of Nannette's that is a real estate agent. It's got a pretty big yard and a nice size living room, 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and a nice kitchen. The only thing missing is a dishwasher but a roll around portable DW will do just fine. I can't wait for a nice chilly day when I can build a fire in MY fireplace! Yes, MY fireplace. Of course, when I say MY, I actually mean OUR fireplace. No more answering to the navy housing office and no more nasty-grams from the housing manager because his boss doesn't like my firewood pile. We take possession the day of closing and moving weekend will be April 15th. I can't WAIT!!!! Can you see the excitement? Nannette will finally be able to knit in HER living room, cook in HER kitchen, build a fire in HER fireplace, and sleep in HER bedroom. They are even including the appliances and their washing machine is bigger than ours. We've needed a bigger washer for quite some time now, too. Yippieeeeee!!!!!
So, all of this is still contingent on the sellers accepting our offer but we think they will take it. Fingers are crossed. Let's hope that I'm off the crutches by moving day.
